* Both of my in-laws were amazing people, products of a tremendous age in American history. Both abided their roles in that history with a thoroughly rich talent for honor and self-reliance. I feared them, and I loved them. Passing at 89 and 93, respectively, they not only delivered the best of their generation, they surpassed it. Yes, I am fortunate to have married their only daughter, oh so many suns ago.


Okay, we bought a house. Moving again. That was November. It’s taking me more time to get straightened out than I first hoped. Increased age and decreased treasure have taken their toll. Honor me time and liberty, and these things I promised shall certainly make their appearance. If this was not so, I would not write you these things.
